US-based football academy hold pre-season tour in Ghana

 

Golden States Football Club, a youth academy based in San Diego, United States which is owned by Mr Johnson Aseidu, a US-based Ghanaian arrived in Ghana on Sunday, July 9 for a pre-season tour.

The San Diego club grooms and develop talents from ages 5-19 years which is affiliated to the Bright Future Sporting and Education Village spent a week in Ghana and were based in Accra.

The team engaged in competitive games and also scouted for talents during their stay before they departed the shores of Ghana on Saturday, July for the Gothia Youth Cup which was slated for Sunday, July 16 to Sunday, July 22, 2023 in Sweden.

According to Johnson Aseidu, he said “We will train here as guest of the Bright Future Sports Education Village. We will be here for a week before we move to Sweden for the Gothia Cup tournament. Also, we will also look at a few talents before we leave”

FC Golden States goal is to provide a platform for players to be the best version of themselves which will provide avenues for the members to move forward and upward not only in soccer but in life.

The club has achieved success in its development, having won the US Club National Championships, and the were semi0finalist in the 2018 World Youth Cup (Gothia Cup).
